We had an amazing experience speaking to a diverse and talented rapper who creates lyrical magic in three different languages. We spoke to Artur D about his music and his journey to where he is at now with his craft. We explored many great things concerning the artist including his personal and professional struggles to bring his music to the masses. Here is his story.

Isaac: It’s an amazing time to be a DIY artist/performer/band/musician. What do you feel you contribute musically to the Indie Music Culture?

Artur: A different outlook on things and my unstoppable energy to keep striving. My background, the things that I've been through differ from the experiences that others made and so I hope to offer my listeners a new perspective the way others show me a new facet so that the big picture emerges. In these special times, it is very important to keep going and to never give up. This is also the way we assign value to the things we do and show what we really stand for. Thinking about the people in Japan (last year), I want to encourage every soul to keep going. Life is worth it to fall and to get up again, it is worth the struggle and the pain b/c it is the greatest gift of all.

Isaac: If you had an opportunity to sign with a major label, would you sign now knowing you may have to give up some of what you have built up over the years about you in the process?

Artur: If it would help me to spread my message, to reach a lot more people out there and to grow, to become more, then I would sign. If it would limit me to anything less, silence or deform my message into something that I don't really stand for, then I wouldn't. Success isn't measured by numbers; it's about the purpose and the fulfillment of a task. The truth is a calling that lives in all of us, just like love does.

Isaac: I remembered Simon Cowell from American Idol talking about the “it” Factor that makes a musician/band stand out. What do you think is your “it” factor that makes you stand out from others in the music business?

Artur: The fact that I will not try to step into another man’s footprints or measure myself by somebody's standards. This includes that I won't change myself in order to be received as somebody who I am not. I am not a prodigy or a product. I am not here to sell something but to reach those who listen, to inspire, to motivate, to open people’s hearts and minds.

Isaac: Name one important element that will make you stand out from the rest of the musicians/artists in the music industry?

Artur: If nothing else, then my ability to rap in three different languages. And maturity, you won't hear in my new songs any cursing or dissing. I am not trying to give anybody that feeling that I would be better than them, because I'm not. I don't look down at people; I want to make people feel good.

Isaac: Do you feel you have given it your best when pursuing your musical dreams so far? Why or why not?

Artur: I always do at the given time, in that moment. There are many other things going on in my life and I assign the required focus to each aspect at the right time, or I try at least. I am not perfect.

Isaac: Who do you look up to for your own influences and why?

Artur: In the very beginning, I was listening to KRS one, to Pac, to Busta and many others. I still listen here and there to other people, but I don't have any idols. I am a grown man now and I want to keep growing, to get better with the time like wine and to become more.

Isaac: Do you feel that Indie music gets the respect it deserves? Why or why not?

Artur: It doesn't. I think the reason for that are the majors that perceive music in their own way. They turned artistic expression into a sales pitch, into a product. The buy into a specific range of images and push what they can fit into their mold. Anything else isn't marketable and falls away. In Hip-Hop, in the beginning (that's how it seems to me); it was a great opportunity for people who didn't have power, for the man on the street to be heard. The point is that one needs to have a voice and to shine some light on things that need to be addressed. Today, if you don't talk about consumption, carelessness, don't advertise booze or cars while being a "rebel" of some sort that reached the top and achieved a high status the fast way, you aren't what they are looking for.

Isaac: If you could change one thing about the music business, what would it be and why?

Artur: The money flow, the artificially generated sales of CDs. When a major business company releases the CD of an artist that they invested in heavily, they give money to their interns, send them in the first few weeks to the stores and tell them to buy this artists CD. They pay the radio DJs; they pay the magazines, and so on. It is a business, 90% is business, and 10% is music. They generate a buzz. They create numbers and the rest of the population goes with the flow. What would happen if money would start to lose its value? How many artists would keep making music? What would they sing and rap about?

Isaac: What has been one of your biggest setbacks and how did you overcome it? What lesson did you learn about yourself?

Artur: When I almost lost my life. That's when I became more self-conscious and began to question things, to think about the consequences of my actions more and to think about what really matters in life and what life really is about. I almost had to fall asleep in order to wake up. It shouldn't take that much but I am glad to be more aware, to have an open heart and mind. All hardships that we experience in life are important lessons that shape us. These things that we go through help us to become the best that we can become and if we learn from these things, then we don't have to go through them over and over again and can move on to something new.

Isaac: What type of feedbacks have you been receiving about your music from fans and music critics?

Artur: Some people are bothered by my accent, others like it and tell me that it fits well. To be honest, I have an accent when I speak English, I have an accent when I speak Polish and I have an accent when I speak German. I am lost in translation. I am impressed how some actors can switch their accent, that’s really cool. But yeah, most of the feedback that I get is positive. People like the lyrics, the flows and the things that I talk about. It makes me feel good and I try to give people the same vibe, it's an exchange of positive energy, good vibes.

Isaac: If you knew that you would never gain fame and fortune with what you are doing now, would you continue to make music? Explain.

Artur: I sure will continue as long as I have something that comes to my mind or that I gotta get off my chest. It's like a conversation; you don't stop talking just because there is only one person in the room. One or one million. I am here so I might as well voice my perspective and make an impact, even if in only one person’s life. It's quality not quantity.

Isaac: How do you handle negative feedback or negative energy about your music?

Artur: I understand that some people don't like rap, or maybe just don't like my raps. That's cool with me; it isn't my goal to please everybody. I am expressing myself and I can't expect everybody to like me or my self-expression. There are way worse things in life than that.

Isaac: What role do your family and friends play in the equation of your quest of a music career?

Artur: Family comes first. And since I don't represent any image that doesn't reflect me the way I am, I can approach everybody with a light heart. I am a man who loves to make music, but a man in the first place.

Isaac: What is the best site/s that you can be found on the Internet?

Artur: My official website is: www.CorteXtainment.com where you can find my newest videos, lyrics and new music. Of course I uploaded my videos on You Tube: www.YouTube.com/CorteXtainment and my music can be purchased at: www.CdBaby.com/Artist/Artur but you'll also find it all on: www.CorteXtainment.com.

Isaac: The floor is yours; final words & wisdom of thoughts...

Artur: Did you know that NASA released a public warning regarding solar storms in 2012 that could wipe out the power grid of the whole United States for 12 to 48 months? An these things are just the tip of the iceberg, did you know that there is a giant planet approaching the Earth which is 47.000 miles in diameter, has an enormous gravitation, has red iron-dioxide radiation going 50-100.000 miles into all directions and is pulling billions of asteroids and planetoids in it's tail? Did you know about that? Did you know that the intelligent agencies know very well about this, that Russian TV talked once about this and that German TV introduced it in a TV show called "Welt der Wunder" (world of miracles) as a 2012 Theory?

Did you know about the underground cities for the elite, where these people are planning to hideout when this planet will pass the Earth? And most of all, did you ever hear about god's plan for mankind, about the true purpose of the great Pyramid of Giza? Did you ever hear about "Mission Pharaoh"? Maybe about "Project Hakim"? Did you ever hear about the Earth entering a higher dimension in December of this year? Of course not, b/c that doesn't fit into the agenda of those people who are in power, and I am not talking about the politicians, I am talking here about the "remote government", about the people who really control the money flow, the stock market, about those who Tupac talked about back in 94, about the Illuminati. They give us bread and games to keep us in check, until they will disappear in their shelters towards the middle of this year. Wake up everybody!!!
