Jennifer Lopez’s Sweet $12 million American Idol Contract Deal!

American Idol is playing musical chairs with their judges. The show is bidding on attracting large viewers for its upcoming 10th season with its recent changes. Kara DioGuardi has been let go as a judge from the show, and Jennifer Lopez is back on track to being the show latest’s judge. Just recently, Simon Cowell and new judge Ellen DeGeneres (only one year on the job) vacated their judging duties. Interestingly enough, when Lopez was first approached to become a new judge for American Idol, the initial deal with the actress-singer fell apart with rumors of outlandish demands that had gotten out of control.
This new deal with the actress-singer is reportedly in the amount of a $12 million contract, as first reported by Deadline.com. Other sources have claimed that possible fellow judges could include Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Shania Twain, Harry Connick Jr., Elton John or Chris Isaak; although all of these names are just rumored at the time.
