The Lord blesses couple's businesses

By Greg Miller

Supermarket and Supermarkit both ran newwpaper ads every week.

Both stores stated they had low prices and great food.

Super-Consumer frequented both stores. He purchased his fruits and vegetables from Supermarket, but he preferred to buy most other items from Supermarkit.

Mrs. Super-Consumer was thrilled with her husband’s shopping decisions. “You do a wonderful job,” she said.

“And you do a great job of preparing our meals,” her husband replied.

Both stores were very generous with local charities. Homeless shelters received enough donated food each week to prepare hundreds of meals.

Super-Consumer and his wife both served as executives of the homeless shelters, as  well as managers of the stores. They also helped prepare some of the meals at the shelters.

Because of the stores’ generosity, the Lord abundantly blessed them. Within a year, both stores’ sales doubled.

The Lord also greatly blessed Super-Consumer and his wife and provided enough money for them to buy the stores they managed.

The couple decided  to move to a much smaller city, where they decided to open a small Christian elementary school.

They prayed  that the Lord would use the school to touch the lives of many children. “And help us to grow closer to you in the process,” they prayed.

The couple wanted a large family and,  a year later, were blessed with twins, Michelle and Michael. Two years later, Martin was born. Super-Consumer and his wife then decided to adopt a boy and a girl, and Morton and Maggie became part of the family.

Super-Consumer and Mrs. Super-Consumer decided to move back to the larger metropolitan area, where they opened an auto repair shop. “We know nothing about repairing vehicles,” Mrs. Super-Consumer observed. They ran an ad in the local newspaper, and Super Car Repair Guy, a fellow Christian, applied for  the job and was hired.

“We don’t know anything about fixing cars,” Super-Consumer told his new employee.

“Then you’ve hired the right person for the job,” said Super Car Repair Guy. “I can repair almost everything  that’s broken on most cars. And by the way, Boss, I hope this business is a success.”

“It will be a success,” Super-Consumer promised. “I know nothing about fixing cars, but the Lord has helped our previous businesses to succeed, so I know we can depend on His help with this one. He doesn’t change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
