Back in February 2007, we had the pleasure to interview a wonderful talented Christian Country Singer. Now 2 years, we catch up with the super talented Singer /Songwriter Ray Withrow in this exclusive interview with Junior's Cave Online Magazine's Blogs.  Enjoy the spotlight!

Isaac: Hi Ray, how are you doing? It is a pleasure to have you featured in the magazine today.

Ray: The pleasure is all mine! Thanks for the updated interview!

Isaac: Let's talk about what you have been up since the last time we spoke to you. What's new?

Ray: I have been 'performing' with the 'bluegrass buddies' I've made - thru the years EVERY Thursday for a 3hr. session, & we are going on our 3rd yr! Just down the road from me - the OLDEST is 90! I'm still the youngest at 60!! I have set up my own home studio, have lost a wife of 15 years, have set up my own Internet Radio stations - 3- (more later on that), & I've been 'invited' to go to FL - to cut an album (indie label) - this fall! I'm going - even if I have to walk!!

Isaac: For those who are new to your music, how would you describe your music to new fans?

Ray: That's the hardest of them all to answer! Traditional music handed down from generation to another. Yes! Songs you (maybe) sang as a kid. Yes! Songs you KNOW you've heard before, but can't place where. Yes - those, too + my own experiences from the same county as Bill Monroe, my idol, & a good 'family' friend Grandma used to date Uncle Penn BEFORE she met Grandpa!!

Isaac: How important has it been to have an online presence on the Internet? Where can folks locate you online?

Ray: Online, I have several places, but my main site is www.MyCountrySpace.com/raywithrow I have , also, changed MY stage name, & have 'created' a 'band' called No Creek!

Isaac: Your music includes a combination of bluegrass and country. For those of us who are not familiar with bluegrass music, how would you describe this type of music?

Ray: I think I have already answered this!

Isaac: What type of reactions have you received from fans about your music?

Ray: As with everything, some do, some don't!! The ones that DO have WAY outnumbered the 'others'

Isaac: What is the most important reason why you want to fans new and old to listen to your music?

Ray: When I 1st met Bill Monroe at my Grandfather's church where he was a deacon, I got to personally get to KNOW Mr. Monroe! The year was 1958!! I never got to be in his band, but ALWAYS loved the music = being from the same county - no wonder!! I got to shake his hand, sit down, & chat, til way after dark with pickin, dinner on the grounds - the whole 9 yards!My most cherished moment!!

Isaac: What do you think has been your biggest achievement musically in your career so far?

Ray: Achievements! You mean - as far as making any $$$??? - HAH!! Nope!!

But _ I must be doing sumthin write 'cause I'm a featured artist all over the world, now - in places like Australia (PBS, Melbourne), New Zealand, USA, Phillipeans, England, Canada, France, Denmark, Belgium - just to mention - a few! One of my songs will recorded later this fall! More on that later, too!

Isaac: What can fans expect from you for the rest of 2009?

Ray: Expect from ME, Yur ole buddy, Ray!! Expect the un-expected!! LOL On MyCountrySpace, I have 'explored' - outside the box of my normal style, & yep - still can do others - as well! Still can play harmonica, too!

Final words...

Ray: I want to thank you = from the bottom of my heart - not only for the interviews, but for, also, giving ME the opportunity to share a part of ME, my life, & the REASON WHY I do what I do!! IF, at all possible, I would like a copy (suitable for framing) of BOTH of these interviews! Junior's Cave has been GREAT - as far as 'promoting' ME & I would/& have recommend this to anyone else!!
