Christopher Barrios Jr.

In Glynn County, Georgia, the community was recently stunned when we learned that the young boy name, Christopher Michael Barrios Jr., will never grow up to become a man.  He will never be someone's husband or father. He will never have his sweet sixteen or Senior Prom.  No, this was taken away from Christopher when he was murdered earlier this month, three people are suspected of molesting him, then strangling him to death.  Christopher who was only six years old is the latest victim of a long list of murdered children in this country. What is happening to our society that convicted child sex offender, George Edenfield,  who allegedly confessed to the crime within hours of the murder, was given a 10-year probation for previous crimes against children in the Glynn County, Georgia?

How can the system let alone that judge in this case live with himself knowing that his fatal decision now has this result?  I wonder if this man can live with himself now?  Should he be held accountable? I am saying yes.  But, that is for another day.  What is more important now is that Justice is served and little Christopher can have a voice in court.  The most disturbing detail is how he was murdered; some of the most gruesome details I have heard in recent times. I wanted to know if this story has touch you as it me. Please leave me a comment as to what your thoughts are about this story.  I want go into the gruesome details of this case but I have provided links to the story's development so everyone can catch up on this sad sad story.

Thank you for remembering Christopher and in doing so, leaving out the gruesome details of this poor boy's horrible torture and murder. Our hearts have been ripped apart enough. We all know what happened and we all want the Edenfields to pay dearly for it. The courts have failed Christopher once. The onus is on them not to fail again. Death for the Edenfields, preferably a painful one, is the only acceptable outcome.
